Executive Board Positions

President

Leads the organization, oversees all committees, and ensures the association’s mission and goals are carried out. The President coordinates meetings, works closely with school leadership, and represents the parent community in all official matters.

Communications Director

Manages all internal and external communication for the association, including newsletters, email updates, social media, and announcements. Ensures information is clear, timely, and consistent across all channels.

Treasurer

Oversees the association’s finances, including budgeting, tracking income and expenses, and maintaining accurate financial records. Provides regular financial reports and ensures compliance with nonprofit financial guidelines.

Co- Treasurer

Vice President

Support the President in advancing the organization’s mission and strategic priorities. Assist in overseeing operations, board initiatives, and committee activities, and step in to lead meetings or represent the organization when the President is unavailable.

Memberships/Merchandise

Manage our GIPA memberships, track member information, process renewals, and

engage with new and existing members. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys

connecting with others and ensuring our membership community feels valued and

informed.

Government Relations

Research and apply for grants that could benefit our programs. If you have experience in grant writing or are eager to learn, your efforts could greatly enhance our funding opportunities.

Legal Advisor

Provide legal guidance and counsel to the Board on matters related to governance, compliance, policies, and contractual agreements. Support the organization in identifying and mitigating legal risks.

Sunset Liason

Facilitate clear and consistent communication between school administration, teachers, and parents. Oversee school-related logistics and coordinate events held within the school community.

Carver Liasion

Facilitate clear and consistent communication between school administration, teachers, and parents. Oversee school-related logistics and coordinate events held within the school community.

Reef Liaison

Facilitate clear and consistent communication between school administration, teachers, and parents. Oversee school-related logistics and coordinate events held within the school community.

We need someone with a knack for web design or IT skills to help maintain our GIPA website, ensuring it stays up-to-date and user-friendly.

Coordinate and manage our wonderful team of volunteers. This role involves scheduling, communicating with volunteers, and helping to ensure that all events and initiatives run smoothly.

Co-Volunteer Organizer

GIPA Book Editor

Oversee the planning, design, and production of the annual yearbook. Coordinate photo collection, content submissions, and deadlines while ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.

Give Miami Day Coordinator

Lead the planning and execution of the organization’s Give Miami Day campaign.Coordinate communications, donor outreach, and promotional efforts to maximize participation and fundraising results.

Donations Coordinator

Oversee the collection and management of donations for our events and initiatives. This role involves reaching out to potential donors, organizing donations, and ensuring everything is properly accounted for.

Social Coordinator

Plan and coordinate social events that foster community engagement and strengthen relationships among families. Oversee event logistics and ensure successful execution from planning through completion.
