GIPA Scholarship Program

Each year, GIPA proudly awards up to five scholarships to graduating seniors to help support their college education.

Eligibility

Applicants must have been active GIPA members throughout all four years of high school.

The Scholarship Essay

Applications are distributed to the senior class.

Each applicant writes an original essay in German based on a prompt provided by the GIPA Scholarship Committee. The essay is submitted anonymously and evaluated by German language educators, ensuring a fair and unbiased selection process.

Scholarship Selection

Recipients are selected based on the grading of their German language essay, academic performance (including GPA), and other factors that reflect their commitment to their studies and the values of the German program.

Our Scholarship Recipients

Over the years, GIPA scholarship recipients have continued their education at Universities in Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, and across the United States, including Brown University, Cornell University, Florida State University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Northeastern University, University of Central Florida, University of South Florida and the University of Florida.
