Dear GIPA Parents, Members and Supporters,
Congratulations on a fantastic turnout at our 28th Annual Oktoberfest!
We come together every year to decorate booths, oversee games and activities and watch our kids go up and down on the rides and perform in their colorful ensemble on stage. And every year it is impressive how we can put an event of this scale together with volunteers only.
What makes it possible is everyone of you who offered their help at the booth or at the general areas, or even just attended for the delicious food and drinks.
While we are still compiling the numbers for our event, there is no doubt that a record crowd was in attendance that will allow us to once again raise significant and substantial funds for the program.
A sincere thanks to all of our teachers and student and parent volunteers who helped make our event a success. Thanks also to our list of sponsors and supporters – from products to silent auction items – you all made an incredibly generous difference for us.
We could not do this event if it were not for our amazing hosts at the German American Social Club (GASC). Now it is our turn to help them out and pay them back for their kindness and support.
The GASC is hosting their 62nd annual Oktoberfest this weekend and next weekend. This is the longest continuous running Oktoberfest in the U.S.! They need our help with volunteers to fill slots at various stations for their 3 day events each weekend. Please click on this link to sign up for the various slots available.
Finally, if you didn’t get a chance to complete the Oktoberfest Survey on Saturday, we’d really appreciate it if you would take three minutes of your time to tell us what you think. Your feedback will help us make improvements to next year’s event.
On behalf of our entire board, I thank you for your ongoing support of the program! And PLEASE sign up to help our friends at the GASC.
