On Thursday, November 8, 2018, GW Carver Middle School’s eighth grade German IS class received their Deutsches Sprachdiplom I (DSD I) certificates at a ceremony in the media center. The DSD exam tests students on their German language proficiency, and GW Carver Middle’s German IS students take the DSD I examination in the seventh grade. We are very pleased to report that 100% of the students passed the exam! The new German Language Advisor for the Southeast, Ms. Nicolette Gahleitner, was in attendance to present each of the students with their DSD I certificate along with Frau Gabriele Kieren-Moghani, Head of the GW Carver German Department. Afterwards, students and their parents enjoyed a breakfast buffet.
