Identifying and applying to the most suitable high school for your child can be a challenge for many parents. On January 23, 2020, GIPA offered its support to parents of GW Carver Middle School eighth graders with a special “Question and Answer Session” focusing on the German International Baccalaureate (IB) program of Coral Reef Senior High School (CRHS). GIPA Board members Diana Moll and Michaele Garcia gave parents and students an in-depth review of the IB program as well as the critical success factors for college entrance. Additionally,Anna Q. Giegeling, CRHS senior and president of the CRHS German Honor Society, shared her first-hand experiences of the IB program with the audience. The questions and discussion that followed clearly showed the importance and value of the event to our German community. Many thanks to Anna, Diana and Michaele for their continuous support of the German language program here in Miami-Dade!
