German International Parent Association | Miami-Dade County, FL info@gipa.org

Thank you to all who got their “Passport to the World” and made this year’s GIPA Gala yet another fun-filled event!

Getting a passport is the first step into another country, but by learning a foreign language one has the chance of getting over the doorstep and into the homes and hearts of other people! We certainly embrace these deeper intercultural relationships by having our children enrolled in the German language program. Which made this year’s theme an easy one to cope with for all parents, teachers and officials attending. I loved the length some guests went through by even painting their finger nails with international flags or sporting bow ties with multinational flags – it’s a beautiful world we live in with wonderful people like you!

Our décor team did an outstanding job incorporating vintage world maps throughout the festivities – and Chef Tano offered a wide spread of international food from around the globe! This year we also had sponsors for all of our “extras” that make our event so special – thank you to all of those parents who generously supported the Champagne Bar, the Photobooth, the appetizers & desserts, the DJ and décor! High five also to the entire GIPA Board and to those who donated and solicited for many of the great prices at the silent auction. In fact, this year we had so many items, that we still have a few for sale. See the list below. Check it out!

For those of you who may have missed our 2017 Gala, please enjoy the attached video celebrating another fantastic year in the German program courtesy of our GIPA news team students Helen Ballard & Keelin Lyons.
