Stephan is currently serving as VP for Coral Reef Senior High School. He was born in Munich, where he grew up and graduated with a master degree in Business Administration (Diplom Kaufmann) as well as with a degree in Marketing Communication (Kommunikationswirt BAW) and Hotel Business (Hotelkaufmann). Stephan worked many years for Siemens holding several positions in the Telecommunication Unit, his last position being a Senior Director Business Management Sales. In 2010, Stephan and his family moved to São Paulo and from there to Miami in 2013.

Stephan and his wife Claudia, who was born in Venezuela and is currently a Director Business Development at Cisco Systems, have two sons, Benedict and Simon, who are both in the German Program. Currently, Stephan’s priorities are directed towards his family. Moreover, he supports the Ikebana International Chapter Miami as Treasurer and the German Ministry Miami as a board member. When there is some free time, you will find Stephan gardening, epee fencing or sunfish sailing, as well as trying to play his k.u.k. baby grand piano and to improve his visual arts skills with a special focus on reverse glass painting and photography.

Job Description: VP Coral Reef Senior High School

The VP Coral Reef Senior High School is a key board member who plays an integral role in coordinating and fostering open lines of communication between GIPA, Coral Reef students, parents, teachers, administrators, school organizations, and various other organizations of German interest, with the goal of helping to ensure the longevity of the German program and the success of the students enrolled at CRHS.  In that capacity, the VP also:

  • Organizes and directs German-related events at CRHS; 
  • Unifies German students and parents from 9th to 12th grades; 
  • Celebrates and promotes the German language and culture with special activities; 
  • Creates positive awareness of the program, educating those who are interested in affiliating with GIPA;
  • Attends meetings and events; 
  • Represents GIPA as appropriate or requested.
