Sarah joined the GIPA Board in 2016 when her family moved from New York to Miami. In December 2020 Sarah and her family returned to the northeast, but she remains active with GIPA in an advisory capacity.
During her years in Miami, Sarah held the positions of Communications Manager and Website Designer/Manager, as well as GIPA Book Editor, Newsletter Editor, and she assisted with school photography and design projects as needed. In 2017, Sarah designed and launched a new responsive website for GIPA and designed new marketing and sponsorship materials.
Prior to moving to Miami, Sarah was the marketing director at German International School New York where she led the school through a full-scale brand redesign, including the development of a strategic marketing plan and design of a new responsive website. Sarah has also worked in financial services marketing for American Express OPEN and Bloomberg, spent several eventful years on Wall Street as a market data analyst, and worked in software licensing at Oracle Corporation.
Sarah received an MA in Sociology and a BA in Communication from Stanford University, and later earned an MBA at Columbia Business School where she focused on marketing and entrepreneurship.
When she isn’t volunteering, Sarah can be found behind the lens of her camera or glued to her laptop designing websites and marketing materials for creative professionals and small businesses.
